One-on-One Tutoring

Based on an overwhelming amount of educational research, one-on-one tutoring is highly successful in improving a student’s academic ability – grades, study skills, and confidence. Higher Grade Learning Centre’s One-On-One Tutoring program allows for the highest level of personal attention, customized instruction, and intensive learning. The program enables students to achieve mastery through a combination of individualized learning approaches, passionate tutor engagement, adherence to educational research, and rich, engaging content.

The program begins with an initial consultation with parents and students that determine a student’s academic strengths and challenges –identifying their learning style. Higher Grade Learning Centre tutors utilize this information, along with educator feedback to create a tailored learning plan that best supports the student’s positive learning style and their academic growth. It further defines how a tutor will approach academic material and ultimately, helps a student maximize retention and understanding.

One-On-One Tutoring empowers students to work at his or her own pace, and given the comfort of the work environment, will have the freedom to ask questions without peer pressure or embarrassment. Alongside all this, the student receives effective instruction and tutor feedback. Tutors help build academic successes, along with study/exam skills, motivation, confidence, and organization.

At Higher Grade Learning Centre, a commitment to excellence and quality customized tutoring has helped fuel the One-On-One Tutoring program’s tremendous growth. Established with the principle that every student is unique in their requirements and learning styles, customized curriculums and learning are helping our students achieve greater academic success.
